The City is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide on-call snow and ice removal services for sidewalks designated as a nuisance due to the abutting property owner’s failure to clear snow or ice within the required timeframe under City Code. Services will be performed only when directed by the City and billed hourly.
The selected contractor(s) will perform snow and ice removal exclusively on sidewalks identified by the City as a nuisance. This includes:

Clearing snow and/or ice from assigned sidewalk segments.

Applying ice-melting materials when needed to abate unsafe conditions.

Performing the work in a manner consistent with City safety, accessibility, and public-right-of-way standards.

Contractor must respond within 24 hours of receiving notification from the City that a sidewalk requires abatement.

Upon confirming acceptance of the notice, the contractor must commence and complete the abatement work within 24 hours of the response.

Contractor shall document with pictures the condition of the property prior to commencing work and after completion; and retain for 90 days if needed by the City.

Contractor shall notify the City when the work is completed.

If the contractor fails to respond or perform within the required timeframes, the City may assign the work to another contractor.
No other snow removal services (such as parking lots, alleys, or city-owned properties) are included under this contract.
